This series of popularly used Chinese teaching aid is specially catered for age 1-7 years old. Comes in 12 books with 10 big word cards. Comprises of 12 different topics. Each topic comprises of 20 pages with words on one page and illustration on the next page (you need to flip over) or 10 flash cards with big red words and attractive illustration back to back. These series are based on the Glenn Doman method. In most books, pictures and words are presented together. This will hinder the child from focusing on the words because the colourful pictures are grabbing all the attention. Thus, this series have separated the words from the pictures to ensure 100% focus on the words. They have also NOT placed the Hanyu Pinyin below each word so as not to distract their little readers and to prevent over-reliance on it. The main concept is to help the child pick up Chinese words independently through sight reading. The first page gives the instruction on "How do I teach my child to read" and the last page of the book summarized the words taught in that book with Hanyu Pinyin to help parents to read to the child and for reference. Just follow the recommended teaching and your baby/child will learn 120 new Chinese words in just 5 months!
