As shown above, very rare award winning doll from Linda Murray. Linda Murray is an award winning doll artist from the UK. She has mastered the craft of creating beautifully detailed dolls in a process called "SHELLCLOTH". This doll is made entirely of cloth, you'd never know it's cloth to look at her face, but she has her own process which makes her dolls so unique. This doll is named Angelique, she stands 30" on her wooden stand. Angelique has hair of mohair with pearls entwined in it, and her shoes are leather, with her white silky pantalets and undergown, then her cotton printed gown with a long shawl of a contrasting cotton print with a purple sheen solid back. She is numbered and comes with her original tags and certificate. The early Linda Murray dolls were of limited editions of less than 20 each. Very few Angeliques were made and each is unique, all of them were of different outfits and as stated on her certificate, no two dolls are ever exactly alike, this makes her a one of a kind. Angelique is the 1997 IDEX Winner. This doll retailed for USD$2720 when frist released in 1997 and was sold out immediately. Very rare piece of art at its finest, a masterpiece only for the connoiseur collector.
